Custom Trout Spey Day. If you are a proficient spey caster and want to build experience swinging flies for trout, I will put you on a bunch of good runs. $495 for 1 angler.
Off Season and Winter. I fish and guide 12 months of the year. The shoulder seasons and winter provide some of the best days for catching large fish. With the right gear and depending on the weather conditions, swinging flies in the winter can be quite productive. $350 for 1 angler.
I met Lawrence last summer thru some mutual friends and quickly found out the he is the guy to know for everything fly fishing here in Bozeman. I had fished maybe 10 times before and was anxious to improve my casting and my angling skills overall, Lawrence met the call.
We spent a couple of evening lessons in a park near my house and worked on casting mechanics. Although I generally pick up things pretty quickly, I found that I am NOT a natural with a fly rod and benefited greatly by having some patient and quite pleasant instruction.
Following this, we have spent several days on the water together, both hiking/wading and floating. I love both of these approaches more than the typical guided float trip. With Lawrence, the boat is not where you spend the entire day. Instead, it is transportation from one good fishing spot to the next. In fact, I didn’t cast from the boat at all. We anchor, and then wade. It the best.
If your goal is to learn the craft, or just spend and enjoyable day angling with a great guide, I recommend Lawrence very highly. You won’t regret it.
